Trays arrive in Zambia

We were very pleased to be able to be part of the Tujatane Science and Maths project in Zambia. We shipped 900 trays to the Tujatne Tongabezi Trust school with the help of  EquipMySchool.com and Atlas Logistics UK, who arranged for the shipment on MSC Botswana. the school is currently fitting out one of their current classrooms as a science laboratory and we hope the Gratnells trays will be a good starting point. We were pleased to get a photo from them showing the trays being unloaded next to some happy children!

Tujatane Tongabezi Trust School is a rural primary school in southern Zambia entirely funded by sponsorship and donations. It was established in 1996 by Vanessa Parker, who was previously teaching as a volunteer in Livingstone. The school started as a pre-school but due to demand it has grown considerably since then, and now educates 190 children aged 3 – 13. The school provides education to the Tongabezi staff children, as well as children from the local community, in an area where educational funding and materials are scarce.
