Our Director of International Buisness, Spencer Randon, has just returned from a trip to Brazil.  Despite the fact that import duties are very high in Brazil, Spencer has discovered a potentially larger market for our trays.  Never to be found without a yellow F1 tray to hand Spencer still managed to find time for a bit of sightseeing on his busy trip fitting in a visit to the world famous Statue of Christ the Redeemer in Corcovado, Rio.  It’s considered the largest Art Deco statue in the world and the 5th largest statue of Jesus in the world and has been named one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. The Statue, that is, not the Gratnells tray, although we can dream!

Another in the famous people near trays series…

Spotted in the Daily Telegraph – a picture of the UK Prime Minister’s wife, Samantha Cameron, sitting next to some Gratnells trays!  Mrs Cameron was on a charity visit to the St Quintin Centre in West London to accept a charity donation to fund the use of a hydrotherapy pool.

Sticky Stuff

Our new tray labels are now up and running.  We have produced free sample sheets with Avery which are sent out with all factory orders – and teachers can then buy packs of 8×8 sheets either from us or from any stationery supplier.

The labels are produced by market leader Avery Dennison and have been designed to fit our school trays (with the added bonus they also fit A4 folders).  They feature a new ‘smart’ adhesive so when teachers remove them at the end of the school year they don’t leave any sticky residue on the tray.

We have also partnered with Avery and Twinkl to create free online templates for these labels where teachers can customise, download and print sheets of labels for their classrooms.  There is also a MicroSoft office template available for download on our website.  If you’d like a sample sheet just drop me an email.
