Today I’m at the AfPP 2011 Exhibition in Bournemouth with our medical product range. The Exhibition features around 100 medical device companies and there are around 2000 delegates and visitors. It runs at the Bournemouth International Centre from 19 to 21 October.  We are launching our new Compact medical range here which is a smaller range than our Classic medical frame and trolley range.  It’s based on our school range – but with additional antibacterial coatings.

If you are round that way, pop in.  You’ll find me on stand W4.  If you’d like to know more about Gratnells medical products just drop me an arthur miller essay

Look, no hands!

We were fascinated to see Kathy Sykes taking to the road in a driverless car on TV this week.  Professor Sykes was presenting a section of Channel 4’s new Brave New World programme – a series presented by Professor Stephen Hawking examining how science is striving for humankind’s next leap forward.  Kathy hit the streets of San Francisco to have the ride of her life as she experienced the future of transport in a driverless car.  A self confessed nervous passenger, she was quickly impressed by the amazing technology controlling the car.

Professor Sykes is our favourite scientist and works with us on Gratnells Science Technican of the Year award.  We hope to be launching a new Primary School Science initiative with Kathy next year, watch this space!

Say cheeeese

We have been taking masses of photographs recently as we update our range of product shots for a new brochure.  This one was taken on an unseasonably sunny day recently and shows the whole of Team Gratnells with their best cheesy smiles for the camera.  Our long-suffering photographer had to climb into a cherry-picker to get this shot, (luckily he’s not scared of heights).
